Leak from Culligan drinking water faucet

Glad to find this site, first time user!
I currently have a small stream of water coming from a small pre-manufactured hole on the right side of a culligan drinking water faucet. This faucet is a part of a reverse osmosis drinking water system. The small hole looks like some pressure release hole with a brass fitting inside the hole. The letters CL are just above the hole. Any idea as to what’s causing this leak and how to fix it?

Normally the CL = critical level used to prevent back flow on a vacuum breaker.. If it is indeed the vacuum breaker leaking you need to find out why your geting back pressure

Please help! No hot water

Hi, I’ve lingered around this great site, but never posted before. I came home this evening to no hot water. We’ve got an 8 year old GE gas hot water tank. We turned the hot water faucets on and there’s nothing but cold water. I’ve tried relighting the pilot light and it lights, but it goes out after releasing the button(after holding it down 60 seconds or so). I also note that I tried opening the drain line and no water comes out, which leaves me to believe there’s no water in the tank at all either.

I’ve read posts on here that the thermocouple is usually defective in cases where the pilot light won’t stay lit, but is there some other issue with being no water in the tank?

Any suggestions would be helpful Thanks

That water won’t come out does not mean no water in the tank. The drain is likely clogged with calcium, grit. Running a coathanger or similar up the open valve will usually free things up, May take a couple of tries. The tank should be flushed 2-3 ti,mes a year anyhow, to get out deposits.

The burner may just need to be cleaned and the flame adjusted to hit the thermocouple end. Rust and stuff can block the pilot flame and slow the burner action. Look at the pilot flame. Is the end of the thermocouple fully in the flame?? If yes, problem is likely the thermocouple. Fairly easy to replace, and usually available at home/hardware stores.

kitchen sink backup

My kitchen sink fills up/backs up with water from time to time. I’ve notice that at times it does this when the dishwasher is running/draining. Also sometimes the dishwasher will not drain completely and will have standing water in the bottom of it. It seems a little too coincidential with the dishwasher and sink. I’ve taken appart what I could under the sink and have found no clogs. I’ve also used draino. Sometimes too, when just running water the sink will fill up until I turn on the disposal. I cannot feel anything in the disposal that would be clogging it up. I can live with the problem but if anyone has some advice I’d welcome it. Thanks.

OK, have you tried plunging the sink. To do this you will need to hold a stopper in one of the sinks, if a 2 bowl sink, while plunging the other.

It sound as if you have a partially plugged line.
Have you disconnected the trap and checked inside the trap for debris? Very common problem. Do you always run water while using the disposal? You should.
Whenever the sink backs up you will get water backing up into the dishwasher, unless yous system has an air gap.
