Hi:
My sister-in-law bought a 50-year old house. The exit point of the garbage disposal is lower than the line into the wall. The disposal leaks and is corroding badly. The disposal is connected to a p-trap, then a short straight section into the wall.
Can someone confirm that the disposal exit point should be higher than the point into the wall.

Yes outlet on disposal need to be higher the outlet at wall.

That makes sense to me…but I’d have a certified plumber come by your house to confirm. That could be a costly fix if something were to go wrong! Best of luck.
